PEACE Punta de Mita teachers are taking their brick-and-mortar classes online, working to design and deliver virtual lessons to students from Kindergarten to High School, beginning the week of May 4th to 8th and continuing as long as necessary. This historic venture is further evidence of our commitment to serving the community by providing quality learning opportunities to our students despite difficult circumstances.
The steady support and leadership of Programmer and Information Technology Teacher Ana Orozco, along with the hard work and collaboration of the teachers, has resulted in a virtual platform accessible to our 1,300 English language learners and their families, who, particularly in the case of the Kindergarten and Primary students, will be able to facilitate and even join in their children’s online learning experience.
Teachers will upload a video to greet students and introduce the weekly material, which will include videos, online exercises, and tasks for families to complete together. The online lessons will allow students to submit their work in the form of recordings, photos, etc. for their teachers to review and comment on.
Distance learning enables us to safeguard our community and ensure we keep our students and their families as close as we can.
