PEACE Punta de Mita has always strived towards continuous growth, all for the better of local communities. By doing so, PPM has strengthened its relationship with all government sectors, like this past March 12th where PPM chairman Ron Budacz, alongside Executive Director Ali Elias and Education Manager Anaelena Guirón, met with Antonio Echeverria Garcia, Governor of the state of Nayarit, and Arturo Robles, former Secretary of Education, to discuss the future projects between PPM and the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP).
The main topic of discussion for said meeting was the newly approved High School and Technology Center project that would help build a state-of-the-art campus in the local community of Punta de Mita. Said campus will benefit younger generations due to the fact that it will provide high school education in their home town, eliminating the need for students to travel unnecessary distances. State Governor Antonio Echeverria was beyond amazement with the project that was presented and has fully committed to making it happen. With the donation of a piece of land were the campus will be built, this project is closer and closer to becoming a reality. The Governor agreed to send in the best qualified personal the department of Education can offer once the campus is up and running.
