A Night of Hearts, Art, and Shared Purpose

The Annual Valentine's Day Gala PEACE & Love celebrated education's transformative power, uniting community members in generosity and purposeful commitment to learning.

The Annual Valentine's Day Gala PEACE & Love celebrated far more than romance—it demonstrated education's transformative power. Community members gathered with the shared conviction that "education changes lives," uniting generosity, creativity, and purposeful commitment.

Student Participation and Opening

Prepanet students welcomed guests and escorted attendees, embodying their active role in the organization's mission. Frank Hutto and Antonio Salgado opened the evening, emphasizing that "education is built through partnership" and sustained by those dedicated to long-term impact.

The Trashion Show

Eleven Campeones students created wearable art from recycled materials, drawing inspiration from iconic Mexican artists including Frida Kahlo and Remedios Varo. Accompanied by Nortec Collective's music, the runway showcased "creativity, environmental awareness, and youthful courage," capturing the evening's spirit through imagination and pride.

Fundraising and Gratitude

The PEACE Hearts Giving Moment and live auction generated significant support. Two commemorative classroom plaques were acquired, representing lasting investments in learning spaces. The organization extended particular appreciation to donors Larry Mirick and Lee & Crissy Jamieson for their extraordinary commitment.

The celebration concluded with dancing and renewed energy, reflecting what community investment in education accomplishes.
