Tec de Monterrey created Prepanet, an accredited high school program with a flexible online format that adapts to each beneficiary's pace. At PEACE, we bring it to life with in-person tutors in Higuera Blanca, Corral del Risco, Emiliano Zapata, and surrounding communities.

02 / 02 / An alliance, not a referral
In 2024, we formalized an alliance with Tecnológico de Monterrey to bring Prepanet, its high school program recognized by Mexico's Ministry of Public Education (SEP), to Punta de Mita. Our blended learning model pairs Tec's rigorous online curriculum with daily, in-person guidance from our tutors and mentors, English with native speakers, STEM clubs, and access to technology. Together, they create a safe, supportive space where studying and learning take place every day.

According to SEP's “Principales Cifras 2024–2025,” for every 100 kids who start primary school, only 32 finish a university degree. At the high-school stage, 87 enter, 57 graduate, and only 49 continue to higher education (SEP, 2025). Prepanet exists to close that gap by helping more young people graduate from high school, the step that opens the door to university. We expand access to an accredited high school diploma and support each beneficiary all the way to graduation.

01 · The academic engine
The online curriculum of the hybrid Prepanet program, designed and accredited by Tecnológico de Monterrey, recognized by Mexico's Secretaría de Educación Pública and respected nationwide. Beneficiaries study it from our learning space and progress at their own pace.
02 · The on-the-ground accompaniment
In-person tutoring, English with native speakers, STEM clubs, vocational guidance, socio-emotional support, and access to laptops and stable internet. Our tutors sit beside beneficiaries until the material makes sense, answering questions, strengthening comprehension, and making sure learning truly takes place.
03 · One cohort
Our young people come from Higuera Blanca, Corral del Risco, Emiliano Zapata, and surrounding communities. They share a classroom, a coordinator, and a path to a diploma that opens doors anywhere in Mexico.
05 / School year 2024–26
Our first 19 graduates have completed the hybrid Prepanet program, created and supported by Tec de Monterrey, in stellar fashion. Our dedicated staff guided them to some of the best grades in all of Mexico, and all of them are either currently taking university classes or are in the enrollment process.
