In the heart of Punta de Mita, the concept of peace is vibrantly alive, woven into the very fabric of the community. Enduring support and belief in the mission have fostered a dynamic environment at PEACE Punta de Mita, where learning and cultural celebration flourish side by side.
As the seasons shift and bring new energy, our doors have opened to embrace a diverse and eager group of nearly 200 participants across all our programs. From bright-eyed primary school children to the lifelong learners in adulthood, our corridors resonate with the buzz of active education and the pursuit of knowledge. The diverse curriculum, ranging from English to computer literacy and high-performance programs, fills our schedule from the early morning until the evening dusk, creating a pillar of lifelong learning.
The recent Halloween festivity, orchestrated by the Campeones Jr. program, turned into a delightful fusion of tradition and fun. It was a scene painted with the joyous faces of children, creativity sparked by costume contests, and the shared experience of film and snacks. This event was not just about the festivities; it was about creating a sense of global citizenship through shared cultural practices. The collective cheer of some 250 individuals reflected the strong bonds and the sense of togetherness that is the core of our community.
Following the spirited trails of Halloween, the commemoration of Día de Muertos called for a heartfelt celebration of remembrance and tradition.The day was rich with the essence of Mexican heritage as families and schools came together to erect altars that paid homage to the dearly departed. The event, stretching from morning till the 9 PM close, was a beautiful testament to our communal ties and the traditions that keep them strong. The sharing of pan de muerto and chocolate lifted spirits and sweetened the mood in the pleasant autumn evening.
